Culdaff, Co. Donegal, Ireland

Culdaff Beach is a Blue flag beach popular during the summer months. The beach is good for beginners but also offers windy conditions and some surf for additional fun. Best in incoming tide and N-E winds. The beach is divided into a small and big area. One has extensive sand and the other is known for its rocks featuring Black Rock, Bucker's Rock and Lady's Rock. General beach use is concentrated on the eastern section of the main beach between Carratra and central access points and in the rock coves between Lady's Port and Black Pool. Note that the coastal habitats in this area are designated a Special area for Conservation (SAC) and therefore protected.
